Chachos
So I often go to San Antonio to visit my second family that I inherited from my past girlfriend Glenna. Usually we would eat at home that either Michelle or I have whipped up. But on this visit Harry and Michelle decided to take me somewhere that had a very bad reputation. Not from the food but the company that often visit this establishment on a weekly basis. It is open for 24 hours which is great for people like me who are out and about enjoying the city.
As far as I know there are a few in San Antonio and Houston.
But let me finish telling you. So we inside this place and the two are deciding on either a half or a full order of nachos. And I am thinking that a half size which feed 3 - 4 people would be enough but then Harry and Michelle was like we need to feed the girls as well. Okay. Harry orders a full nachos and 3 margaritas.
I was not prepared to see this:
Do you not see the size of this nachos? Gigantic, isn’t it? It had chicken, beef, and steak split in 3 parts in this. With refried beans and cheese through out it and all the other sides for the nachos were at the self-serving bar. It was a condiments overload, ladies and gentlemen. And in the center of the nachos was extra melted cheese for dipping.
How did it taste? Freaking Awesome! The steak was tender, the chicken was juicy, and the beef was seasoned right, which is rare. I stuffed myself like a new ass pig! Trying to eat as much as we could, however this nachos was so huge that it did not look like we even put a dent in it. So there was plenty of leftovers that you could have for that late night snack or tomorrow afternoon. Yeap, but that all change once we got to Harry and Michelle’s house, there was no need to think about leaving leftover for later. Why? Because the girls got to it and us adults continue to snack on it, and we were full from that so there was no need to cook dinner.
Let me not get started on the margaritas. Now I am not a lightweight when it could to margaritas then again, it would also depend on which restaurants you are at and how people judge margaritas.
No one wants a small glass of margarita unless it comes with a serious punch. A margarita should make you say “Hello” with the first tastes. It has to have the right amount of lime and a little bit more of the tequila. If you feel that there is not enough tequila then ask for a side kick, I usually do. However with this margarita from Chachos, I did not need to ask for a sidekick, in fact that one glass did me in. Unbelievable!! I know that the next time we go there I will try to have a 2nd or 3rd glass of margarita, however the location that we went to has burned down. What a damn shame!!!
I would recommend this place simply for the margaritas and nachos. Unfortunately, I can not speak for the rest of the menu because I have not had the opportunity to try them. And as I mentioned before there are other locations to visit. I think it funny that every time I go the San Antonio that we (Harry, Michelle and myself) will have a list of things that we want to do and for the most part we do do them however, we always get distracted from them and wind up doing other things for fun.
But who knows, the more that I travel to San Antonio, the more the things and place to go to visit and eat at gets longer.
